My Flamenco guitars are patterned after the famous Spanish maker Marcelo Barbero. These guitars are light in weight and responsive to touch and golpe! I use only Spruce for the tops with Lutz being my favorite. Back & side material is up to each individual player. Back and sides can be:
Spanish Cypress
Monterey Cypress
Figured Myrtle
Curly Maple
Palo Escrito
Indian Rosewood for a Negra.
Neck width at the nut can be 50mm to 53mm.
Width at the 12 fret can be 59mm to 64mm.
Scale length is usually 650mm plus 3mm for compensation!
These measurements can be changed for players specific needs!
The tone of Sabicas , Montoya ,Paco &
Maria Zemantauski!
The driving force that makes us love the guitar is very open to interpretation. Volume, response, treble, bass and midrange notes make up the sound of a guitar. If any of these areas are lacking ... the guitar is not suitable to my personal standards.
Being able to achieve this has made my guitars the favorite with all the players that have them. Being able to achieve this goal is rewarding!
